• The North Façade displays a similar logic as the South, framing the array of diverse program elements within. At this facade, the HS and PS sit atop a base of one-and two-story retail program addressing 57th Street.
  • The building sets back ten feet on the first two stories along the South façade to provide a widened sidewalk to ease congestion in the morning and afternoon rush.
  • At the eleventh floor a 20’ high covered Outdoor Play Area offers the HS an area for outdoor play, outdoor classes and art exhibition.
  • The 250-seat HS Gymnasium is a simple composition in school colors lightening toward the exposed structure and ductwork at the ceiling. The school logo appears at the center. Natural light fills the space.
  • The HS Corridors are inspired by the vast network of notable alumni. Artists are selected by the school for representation in the corridors, where a recognizable artwork is pixilated as an image and approximated as a mosaic of VCT tile.
  • A 500-seat auditorium is provided for shared use by the HS and PS. Acoustic wood paneling wraps the space and connects seamlessly to the stage.
